Early Bird RunGiving 5k will be a run that will donate a portion of the proceeds to
Lynndale, Inc. The programs Lynndale, Inc. includes services to individuals under the supervision of a Direct Care Service Provider or Job Coach. Training is tailored to the needs and desires of the person served, along with input from the family/caregivers in the area of adult living skills, leisure/recreation, socialization skills, safety skills, and community integration. Participants can also receive hands-on work experience via pre-vocational and employment skill training. Examples include Lynndale's onsite Greenhouse and Furniture refinishing programs. As well as their community job placement program. Lynndale, Inc. also participates in the Special Olympics program. This program provides year round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of sports for the individuals Lynndale, Inc. support.
Come join Run the Tangents Timing on the Saturday before Thanksgiving (11/18/23) at 9:00 a.m to give thanks through running and giving back to the community with Old Sheets & Blankets for the Furniture Refinishing Department donation before the run. The items collected at the race will be donated to Lynndale Inc. and for each donation, runners will be given a raffle ticket for entry to win a prize (prize yet to be determined).
START/FINISH
The 5k run will start and finish at Mill Village Trailhead (109 Eve St., Augusta, GA 30904) and will continue onto the canal towpath. This route will be primarily concrete with some gravel and dirt.
Please note that there are no refunds and there will be a 30 minutes weather delay (if needed).
REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUPOnline registration will remain open right up until November 23, 2024 at 8:45 a.m. Race shirts are guaranteed to everyone who registers by October 17, 2024. Extra shirts (if any) will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Packet pickup will be the morning of the event starting at 7:15 a.m. and ask that you be checked in no later than 8:50 a.m.
Registration prices
- 5K without a shirt is $20 through race day
- 5K with a shirt is $20 through 12/31/2023, $25 through 10/27/2024, $30 through 11/22/2024 at 6 p.m., and $35 on race day
- Virtual runner registration is $25 through 8 a.m. on race day
Note: All runners who register by October 17, 2024 will be guaranteed to receive an official race shirt! Extra shirts (if any) will be distributed on a first come-first serve basis until they are gone.Runners will be given race packets that include a Thanksgiving themed unisex t-shirt plus items from local sponsors and/or discounts on products.
Age Groups and AwardsAge Groups are 14 and Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 - 79, and 80 + male and female plus top 3 overall. Awards will be determined closer to the event date. Awards are based on Gun Times.
